7 card stud poker - Limit Poker:
How to play a possible winning hand
With a big hand after five cards - a straight,
flush or full house for instance - it is wise to keep
as many other players in as possible (although not by
giving them a free card, if it is your bet, do so modestly).
Following the deal of the sixth card, you are likely
to be facing two or three other good players, and you
can safely assume that whether they stay in or drop
out at this stage depends not on what you do, but whether
the sixth has proved valuable to them.
If you are still confident of possessing the winning
hand, you should bet the limit now and expect to be
called. However, if you are raised, you may want to
rethink your level of confidence. Take a good look at
the cards and think about the opponent that raised you
before either calling or re-raising.
